Adding trailer air brakes to a truck with a PP-DC dash valve
We've created this kit for people with an air brake straight truck that needs to be converted to a tractor. Your truck should have a PP-DC style dash valve in order to use this kit. You can tell if you have a PP-DC dash valve checking to see how the button attaches to the valve shaft. The PP-DC has a plastic shaft, and the button threads onto it. See our PP7TP kits if your truck has a PP-1 style dash valve.
You will need to replace the existing PP-DC dash valve with a MV-3 valve which has yellow and red buttons in
one unit. We don't include the MV-3 in this kit because there are many different configurations available.
The differences are in the mounting plates, mounting holes, and the ports. Popular MV-3 valves are listed below.
Contact customer service if you need help determining which MV-3 to order. We will ask for the part number off of
your PP-DC. See the picture below for an example of where you might find the part number.
